Abstract

Facial skin disorders may represent a diagnostic challenge. Several purely skin diseases (inflammatory, infectious,) and potentially serious systemic disorders (connective tissue disorders,) manifest in the facial skin. Many of the manifestations of these disorders are very similar. Make an early and correct diagnosis can be of vital importance because in some serious diseases skin involvement may be the first clinical manifestation of the disease.
