Abstract

The University must act as a driver of change to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 agenda. Our group develops an itinerary through subjects of the 5 courses of the Degree in Pharmacy for this purpose. Here we show the activities related to target 3.8 and the results obtained in the subject of Pharmaceutical Technology II. Through a case study, students develop a generic drug and the design of the production process applying concepts of ethics and sustainability. The improvement in the knowledge of the SDGs has been measured through questionnaires before and after the activities. The results obtained suggest that the activities proposed are suitable and effective for working on competencies related to Sustainable Development. On the other hand, the designed questionnaires seem to be an adequate tool to evaluate the students’ self-perception in specific and sustainability-related competences
