Sustainable development goals

Abstract

The number of urgent cares grows continuosly, the rate of growth in Spain has been setaround the 4% annually. According to the estimates, the 80% of the users, go by their owninitiative to the emergency department, and the 70% of the surgeries are considered slightsby the health staff. It could be interesting from the sanitary planning poin of view, to carryout epidemiological studies which describe the users characteristics, and the reasons forthe overuse of the hospital emergency department. We have seen convenient to archieve astudy to know the profile of the users from the emergency department from Galdakao’sHospital.Results: The general profile of users would be, man (51.4%) of middle age (43.2%) whoconsults because of traumatologic phatologies (50.5%) and who comes from the sanitaryarea near the hospital.
