Objective: To provide updated information on the sociodemographic characteristics, the employment situation and the training of professionals working in neuropsychology in Uruguay Method: 33 individuals over 18 years of age who have a bachelor's degree, reside in Uruguay, and perform evaluation, rehabilitation, teaching and/or research in neuropsychology participated. The recruitment of participants was carried out through scientific societies, professional societies, educational institutions, specialized centres, social networks. People who gave their informed consent answered a survey using an online survey platform. Results: The mean age of the participants is 38.82 years. Most are women, live in the country's capital, are employed, and received training in neuropsychology during their postgraduate studies. The most frequent neuropsychological activity is evaluation, followed by rehabilitation, research and teaching. There are difficulties in accessing neuropsychological instruments, lack of local normative data, academic training programs in clinical neuropsychology and clinical training opportunities. Conclusion: Uruguay has multiple challenges for the development of neuropsychology in the country, including the regularization of the exercise of the profession, the development of training programs in clinical neuropsychology, the establishment of local normative data and the generation of alternative ways that facilitate the access of neuropsychologists to their work tool
