Resumen

Abstract Introduction Anticoagulant treatment is widely used in medical practice. Currently there are many anticoagulant drugs, so it is important to know the features of each drug to prescribe the most appropriate in each case. Indications Anticoagulant therapy is used to treat established thrombosis and to prevent thrombosis in high risk situations (atrial fibrillation, valve replacement). Considerations Due to the characteristics of anticoagulant drugs, it is important to have experience in handling them in special situations, such as bleeding and perioperative management.
