Zusammenfassung

The objectives of this study were to analyse and compare the internal and external load demands of a competitive microcycle of the players of a high-level women's football team, as well as to determine whether the training sessions and the match differed in stimulus for the athletes. Data from 16 players during training sessions and 8 during competition were analysed, studying the correlation between internal and external load variables, using GPS, wellness questionnaires and subjective perception of effort (RPE). The results showed significant correlations between the RPE and the subjective perception of effort of the sessions (sRPE), and the rest of the external load variables recorded by the GPS. In addition, high intensity actions showed significant correlations with the internal load variables. Simultaneously, the results showed the sensitivity of sRPE to the stimulus of training and competition, due to the variation of its magnitude pre and post training and match. In conclusion, the intervention showed the main correlations between the internal and external load of the sessions, revealing the importance of monitoring and quantifying loads for increased performance. However, despite the findings, future research is recommended for a better approach.
