Abstract
Subjects: To present one possibly and important additional usefulness of the mammography : women's detection with cardiovascular factors risk. Me t h o d s : Bibliographical specific review in the " US National Library of Medicine, National Institute of Health " (PubMed) about the mentioned aspect, under the hypotheses: Presence of arterial mammary calcifications in mammography, constitutes a factor of cardiovascular risk. Results: Most of the revised articles point out the usefulness of the mamography to detect women at cardiovascular risk. Conclussions: Mammography not only allows an early detection of breast cancer, but also can detect women with factors of cardiovascular risk. Such possible findings should be certified in the radiological reports.
