Resumen
Abstract Introduction Thrombophilias are hereditary or acquired conditions which can increase the risk of venous or arterial thrombosis. Aetiology It can be a multifactorial disorder where congenital defects of anticoagulant or procoagulant factors may be combined with acquired hematological abnormalities. Diagnosis The study of these alterations, should be considered in patients with a documented unexplained thrombotic episode or a positive family history.
